T’s & C’s

If we are unable to meet any booking through circumstances beyond our control you may be offered another booking at our discretion. In such circumstances if we are unable to offer or you are unable to accept another booking we will refund any deposit or course fee paid. Our liability is limited to return of deposit or fees already paid.

A deposit of 50% of the course fee is required at the time of booking, with the remainder to be paid two weeks before the start of the course.

Course bookings are secured when we receive full payment for the booking.

The decision of how and when any activity or training course is run and whether or not the activity or training course will proceed remains with us and our decision is final.

If you need to rearrange or cancel a booking, we will make reasonable endeavours to accommodate your change at no further cost. This is dependent on the amount of notice given and the company’s ability to “resell” the booking. In the event of cancellation the following terms will apply:

  • More than 2 weeks before, 50% of the total course fee will be refunded
  • Between 14 and 7 days before, 25% of the total course fee will be refunded
  • Less then 7 days before, unfortunately no refunds will be available.

We strongly recommend that client(s) take out their own insurance against cancellation, damage or loss of personal effects, death or personal injury.

Neither we nor our instructors accept responsibility for any loss, damage or injury suffered by persons and/or their property arising out of or during the course of their activities whilst training and/or coaching and/or instructing unless such injury loss or damage was caused by or resulted from negligence or deliberate act.

You the client acknowledges that there are inherent dangers involved in sports and as such some of our courses and activities. You agree that in making your booking you indemnify us and our instructors holding them free of liability in the event of an accident death injury or damage to person or property.
Where training is carried out on your property or vessel all appropriate safety equipment must be supplied and in place and the location must comply with all health and safety regulations including the boat safety scheme and MCA coding where appropriate. It is your responsibility to ensure that the property or vessel has appropriate insurance in place for the training course or activity to be carried out. We may refuse to carry out training at a location or on a vessel that we deem unsafe or unsuitable.

Where the company provides equipment to the client, for example lifejackets or navigation equipment, the client is responsible for the safe return of that equipment at the end of each day of the training. Damage to any item beyond normal wear and tear may render the client liable to pay for the cost of replacing the item.

We only accept young people under the age of 18 onto courses where they are accompanied by a responsible adult. We may accept younger students for which we receive documentation from parents or legal guardians agreeing to their participation, this will be solely at our discretion.
